February 4th, 2017 is the date for the 56th Annual Marsing Disaster Auction & Sale. This is an annual event that generates funds for local community disaster relief. The auction proceeds go toward helping families who have suffered from serious illnesses or other tragedies, to help cover costs associated with hospital or large medical bills, funerals, or fire damage to their homes. The auction also assists the non-tax based Marsing Volunteer Ambulance Service, The United Way and other local service organizations.

In 1961, the Disaster Fund was organized and raised nearly $6,000. With the help of businesses, organizations and individual volunteers, the auction has continued to grow year after year and continues to give a helping hand to those families affected by unforeseen tragedies. Last year the auction raised total gross revenues of over $75,000! Now that's what we call neighbors helping neighbors!

Food Available at Auction

Concession booths will also raise funds for the auction and will offer a variety of lunch items including turkey noodles, chorizos, hot dogs, tacos, doughnuts, popcorn, coffee, soft drinks and homemade desserts. Donated Pies, Cakes and Cookies are welcome on the day of the auction.
