In 1961, the Disaster Fund was organized and raised nearly $6,000.  The Marsing Community Disaster Fund is now a registered 501 (c) organization.  With the help of businesses, organizations and individual volunteers, the auction has continued to grow year after year and continues to give a helping hand to those families affected by unforeseen tragedies.  The auction raises approximately $75,000 in total gross revenues!  Now that’s what we call neighbors helping neighbors!

The auction proceeds go toward helping families who have suffered from serious illnesses or other tragedies, to help cover costs associated with hospital or large medical bills, funerals or fire damage to their homes.  The auction also assists other local service organizations.
